DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS

What is Economics?

Economics is a social science that features examinations of production-consumption, trade, pricing decisions with limited resources and under constraints. It is also a branch of science where budgets and policies of states and institutions are examined, and various methods are developed and applied in subjects such as stability, interventions and planning. Economics is a broad field, which is also in relation to many other disciplines such as psychology, sociology, mathematics, physics, philosophy and law.
